My dad needed to pick up an inverter so he decided that this would be a good trip for me to pratice driving. We're in Manton,ca which is outside Redding,ca so it's 4 hours one way to Reno,nv and goes from dirt roads to city trafic. I had a good time driving along 395. I got to pratice passing trucks. And saw one driver almost do a head on. I concluded that I like driving on two lane rural roads that you can do 70 mph on.

It's a good book. He's writing is very easy going. What has struct me is that rome was not very civilized. During the repulic there where many civil wars. People were murdered in the forum. All in all it was a very dangerous and unstable place and time to live. One of the remarks that really hit home with me was when he talked about the roman historian Livy he said that for many years Rome was seen through the one sided view of Livy who wrote a history of rome.

My dad and I went hiking in Lassen Park yesterday. We did the only hikable hike in the park. All the others were covered in snow. Anyways we went to mill creek falls http://www.waterfallswest.com/images/millcreek.jpg. It's a pretty waterfall and this time of year there was lots of water. Not to mention still some snow!

Now that I'm 18 I'm going to get a driving license. First I have to get a permit so I'm reading the California Driving Handbook online. I really hope I pass the test the first time. I'll be really happy to finally be able to drive legally. It funny that for the longest time I didn't care about driving but now I really want my license. I guess I want to be more independent.

My last finals were yesterday. So I'm done! Of course in June I go to Berkeley for my internship which is kind of like school. But it should be fun. I know I got A's in at least three of my classes I'm still waiting for my grade in Complex Analysis.

I installed Fedora Core 2 today which took most of the day. So I didn't start studying for my finals tomorrow unil 8 p.m. As a result I',m kinda nervious about them. So far I love Fedora the eye candy is just great and hardware recoginizition is getting better and better. My printer just worked with Fedora I didn't have to install drivers or anything it was automatically configured. A couple of years ago it could be a real undertaking to get pretting working under linux. Also when I plug i...

I just finished my Complex analysis final an hour ago. I think I got all the questions right except the last one. I did the last one very wrong. There were 13 questions so I should still get an A but I know the teacher will be dissipointed about the last question. Other than that it was a long final I took the whole two hours to do it. He gave us an extra 15 minutes and everybody took it. Thankfully my finals on friday should be easy so I plan on relaxing between now and then. Maybe playing...

I had my physics final this morning it was way too easy. There were only 5 questions and none of them were difficult. My complex analysis final is tomorrow. That's going to be hard the teacher likes to stuff as much material as possible on exams. So I should be studying for it. And I will just not now.

Yesterday I did some old physics tests and an old final to prepare myself for the final. Yep I broke down and started studying that awful thing called study. And today I'm doing old math tests. When will I stop! Friday of course when it will all be over. But on June 5 I go to berkeley to start all over again. Thankfully I won't be taking classes. I'm going to be helping two physicists. Back to the grind I guess.

I have finals tuesday, wednesday and friday so of course what am I doing I'm ovoiding studying in the eternal tradition of students. I don't think the tests should be too hard but what I've decided to do is redo all the old tests over again that should get me up to speed and prepared. To be honest I ready for it to be over I mean I've finished learning and now all I'm going to do is spit the infomation out one last time for the teachers. I should mention that I really enjoyed my classes it's j...

Why do I feel this urge to write? I want to create something anything. It is very easy for me to just watch t.v. and read the news online for hours and hours. This isn't what I want to do with my life. I want to be one of the doeriers not one of the consumers. That is why I write to get the reassurence that I've done at least something today. And haven't just consumed all day.

My classes for tomarrow are cancelled and my first exam isn't till tuesday so I have 5 days to relax. Of course I should study for my exams. And I will a little bit but not too much. Today I went through an old physics final with a class mate which took about two hours but it was really good to go back and look at stuff from earlier in the semester. Sadly the teacher has decided to make the test openbook instead of letting us have two note cards. What's bad is that it's really har...

I got my Complex Analysis test back monday. I got 98/100 which is the same score I had on the previous two tests I'm still trying for that 100. The other people in my class did surprisingly well. The average was 78 which on his grading scale is a B. Looking at my four classes the people in my Complex Analysis class as a whole are doing a great deal better than the people in my other classes. In physics average:50% In Econ average:60% In linear algebra average:67% It is surprising the diff...
