Driving Permit

I'm finally going to get a driving license

Now that I'm 18 I'm going to get a driving license. First I have to get a permit so I'm reading the California Driving Handbook online.
I really hope I pass the test the first time. I'll be really happy to finally be able to drive legally. It funny that for the longest time I didn't care about driving but now I really want my license. I guess I want to be more independent.

hey there!
How come you couldnt get your license before? Im kind of in the same boat as you are, but I have to wait till the car is fixed, and mom will let me... Grrrr... oh well.. if your test is anything like the one in washington, then you wont really have anything to worry about... study the pedestrian, emergency vehicle (distances), drug/alcohol laws, and bicycles stuff the most- i was quizzed the hardest on those the first time i took my written test up here...

The insurence is much cheaper when your 18. That was the main reason. Also you have to take drivers ed to get your license before your 18. And since i'm a lazy person I didn't want to take it.
